Apé Kedella Campsite Rules & Conditions

Please follow these rules and conditions during your stay at Apé Kedella, to ensure that your stay will be a blessing not only to yourself but also to others in the Apé Kedella farm.

We have developed these rules and conditions over many months, while observing the challenges and difficulties that are posed by campers not following the simple rules laid out by us.

We ask that you will follow these rules carefully and respectfully so that our staff too can be blessed by your presence at the campsite.

General Rules

  • Behave with dignity and respect of others at all times during your time at Apé Kedella.
  • Respect the other projects and ministries that are in operation at Apé Kedella.
  • Please ensure that your campers do not go out of the Apé Kedella campsite without permission after they have arrived. We maintain a campsite shop for any urgent needs.
  • Please do not litter, indoors or outdoors. Garbage Bins have been provided for this purpose – please use them. Please encourage your campers to reduce the use of polythene.
  • Please ensure that all garbage is put into bins and sanitary napkins are put into bags and dumped into the bin. Failing to adhere to this rule will result in a Rs. 2,000/- fine.
  • Do not enter the kitchen or give any instructions to kitchen staff. If there is any complaint it should be made to the Campsite management through your designated person.
  • Sports activities and camp games should be conducted in the playground and not in any other location. Do not play any games indoors without prior permission from the Campsite management.
  • Please remove all sports material and any other items used for sports, games or interactive activities after you have finished.
  • All sound equipment should be switched off at 9pm. Please do not use any microphones or megaphones after this time for any purpose.
  • Please conserve and reduce your water use.  the villagers also use the water from the campsite for drinking purposes. We would appreciate if you are sensitive to this.
  • Please conserve electricity. Please switch of any fans, lights and air conditioners when not being used. Please instruct your campers to switch off all lights and fans when leaving their rooms. If we find that unused lights and fans are not switched off consistently, we will need to deduct an additional sum from your deposit to meet these additional electricity expenses.
  • Please do not loiter in the compound at night after your programme has ended for the day.
  • Please do not visit the neighbouring homes outside the Campsite, or attempt to share the gospel with them in any way.

Auditorium

  • Please DO NOT paste, pin or attach anything to the curtain at the front of the auditorium. There is a bar from which you can hang your backdrop / banner etc. Please ask the campsite manager to show you how to use this. Please note that any damage to the curtain will be charged to your booking.
  • Please ensure that your campers DO NOT paste / write / pin anything on the walls, doors or windows of the auditorium for any activity or event they may carry out in the hall. Please note that any such damage will be charged to your booking.

Dining Hall

  • Please ensure that your camp schedule follows the meal times given in your booking form.
  • Please also ensure that everyone leaves the dinning hall by 9.30pm so that the kitchen staff can finalise for the day.
  • We provide the food in buffet style, with sufficient quantity for your booking number. However, if you prefer to have the food served to your campers, please appoint a group from your own team to serve the food to your campers.
  • Please ask all your campers to wash their own plates at the end of the meal with soap and water, provided for this purpose.

Accommodation Rooms

  • Please keep the dormitory and guest rooms clean at all times. A broom will be provided to each room for this purpose.
  • Please advice the campers to use the toilets and bathroom carefully so that no damage is done and the toilets are clean before leaving the camp site.
  • We would appreciate if you could ask your campers to clean their rooms before you leave the camp site.
  • Please collect all dormitory keys and give it to the Authorised person from your organisation who will be liaising with the campsite during the booking period. There is a charge for lost keys.

Responsibility

Please designate one person to be the main contact person with your organisation, during the booking. This person must be present throughout the booking period and should be the only person communicating with the Campsite on any matter.

Please do not encourage others to contact the campsite office or the kitchen staff for anything. All requests should come through one designated contact person.
